Carroll Canyon Wash

Sedona, AZ

The Carroll Canyon Wash Delineation Study was completed for Yavapai County Flood Control District.  This complex drainage project is just one of many projects that Mr. Sefton and Mr. Huskett have worked on for public agencies.

This large-scale project required multipart analysis and evaluation of local drainage issues.  Mr. Sefton and Mr. Huskett reviewed and evaluated the existing drainage.  Of particular importance to this project, Mr. Sefton is a certified floodplain manager.  Both Mr. Sefton and Mr. Huskett’s in-depth background in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis was absolutely crucial to this project.  The analysis and design included drainage structure design, channelization design, drainage modeling including HEC-HMS, and culvert hydraulics and bridge analysis.
The complexity of this project included addressing neighborhood complaints for existing status, easement negotiations, a Letter of Map Revision, and public participation interactions.  Mr. Sefton worked closely with the engineers for Yavapai County in reviewing cost estimates and evaluating risk analysis of design decisions.
